So, who is teaching?

I am! Who am I? I am Tony. I am a lighting scientist and am passionate about lighting education. I have built this platform to be a place for high-quality, unbiased lighting education content. You can read a more formal bio below. I look forward to having you on board!

Tony Esposito, PhD

Tony Esposito is a digital entrepreneur, a lighting scientist and educator, and a lighting advocate. He is the Founder and Head Research Scientist at Lighting Research Solutions LLC, and the Head Instructor here at Online Lighting Education. Tony holds a Doctorate in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University with a minor in Statistics. His specialties include color science, color discrimination, IES TM-30, human factors research methods, circadian metrics, and spectral modeling and optimization. Tony has delivered over 30 industry presentations, nationally and internationally.

He currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Color Committee of the Illuminating Engineering Society and previously led the task group that developed IES TM-30 ANNEX E, a set of recommended specification criteria meant to ease the use of TM-30.
